Eliminage Original Adventure Log 03: Cursed Weapons Aren't Tricking Us!
Sasuke: It looks like everyone is here and we all have our cocoa, so let’s get started. =)
Anzu: I’m so glad those marshes we visited weren’t actually stinky.
Sasuke: TVs usually don’t make smells unless they’re on fire so I figured we’d probably be fine.
Shibao: Have you ever seen a burning TV? =O
Sasuke: No! Fire is dangerous! Especially for plushies. I imagine they would smell, though. Seems logical anyway.
Shibao: *nods thoughtfully* Campfires in games are nice, though. And we don’t get hurt by them!
Anzu: Definitely! I imagine we have a campfire going when we’re resting in camp, exploring in our games.
Shibao: They keep the monsters away. They’re like nightlights for adventurers!
Sasuke: I’m not sure if campfires would work in that marsh we were exploring. Probably too soggy there.
Tsuki: Hmm. Possibly. The place was fun but those slippery parts were tricky. They were kind of like teleporters because they forced us into different areas and we couldn’t go back the same way.
Sakura: Yeah, it really forced us to explore and we had no idea when we’d be able to go home.
Sasuke: We had to go through misty areas too! That was scary after the mist in Mauria Forest.
Tsuki: The monsters in this misty area were strong like the forest but not quite so bad.
Shibao: Except for those ghost rangers! They were super strong!
Sasuke: Yeah, I spent most of my time on defence. I wanted to protect everyone because some of those monsters could absolutely one shot some of us.
Anzu: Also, why was Marcia’s father wandering around in there all alone?
Tsuki: The tavern lady’s dad? I don’t know. She did ask us to find him, so it sort of worked out in the end. At least we got him home and they both seemed happy after.
Cosmon: More fame!
Sasuke: Yes!
Anzu: But after we finished that quest and talked to Marcia again she told us that we can have both good and evil characters in our party from now on. Why does the game keep doing that? We don’t want to be evil, or fight friendly monsters, or have evil people in our party. We just want to be good plushies and save the world.
Sasuke: Exactly. The game keeps on asking us if we want to be evil. Maybe it’s testing us. We’ll definitely show it how good we are! =D
Sakura: You guys got some really nice weapons too!
Anzu: I know! I got a morning star! I can bop monsters better now!
Sasuke: And we could finally afford to buy the flamberge from the shop. It was so expensive but it’s such a strong sword. I’m glad we got it.
Tsuki: You didn’t have to give it to me. You’re a knight. It made more sense for you to have it first.
Sasuke: No. You’re our main bopper. I thought you should have it.
Tsuki: Well, we found that partisan so it worked out in the end. I could still use a spear and you got a really fancy sword.
Sasuke: *smiles* It is nice...
Shibao: It’s always fun finding new weapons and armor and taking it to the shop to be identified. Especially when the price to identify it is really expensive. Then you know it will be good!
Anzu: Or it could mean it’s cursed.
Sasuke: At least if the thing is cursed we can sell it and get our money back. Also, why do they always use such obvious cursed names like “ragged robes” or “rusty sword”? Those clearly have something wrong with them.
Tsuki: The game is trying to trick us!
Sasuke: The game should use names like “Ultimate Hero Sword” for a cursed weapon. Then I’d equip it and get cursed.
Tsuki: That would actually be much worse...
Shibao: It would probably do something awful like give you an ice cream headache. =(
Sakura: *gasps* D=
Sasuke: Maybe it’s for the best cursed items have obvious names. I don’t want an ice cream headache...
Shibao: Where should we go next? I don’t think there’s much else to do in that marsh.
Anzu: Maybe we should explore a bit and try some tougher dungeons. I think we’re ready.
Cosmon: Sheba Ruins!
Sasuke: Oh! That could be fun! A city from a lost civilization!
Shibao: What if it’s haunted?
Anzu: I have a spell so our weapons can hit ghosts and you can blast them with fireballs.
Shibao: *smiles and nods* I’ve got some really powerful spells now. I can blast them a lot!
Anzu: Perfect! Let’s go there next. For now, it’s almost bath time. Who wants to go first?
*Sasuke runs away*
